What do you do when someone approaches you saying they will increase your brand's Instagram/Facebook followers to 1K or 10K in a few days' time?
Only one thing to do..

Stay away!

What you actually get are bots or irrelevant followers & likes which won't help your brand in any way.

You might be tempted to think that more followers will look good to your customers n potential investors. Well think again!

Enter Shadow Ban.

Your account gets shadow banned by the platform, as the followers are generated too soon or are irrelevant. This means that your account is basically not shown to anyone!

So, just aim to increase your followers organically or use the platforms own ad channel to generate follower base and likes. It is slow, but surely effective.

All startups have problems..

Money, Operations, Sales, Clients, Projects, etc etc But the biggest of all (which is applicable to not just startups) is

Attrition!

Many a startup is so bothered about the other aspects that, it's too late by the time they realise that there is no established long-term team in place.

Employees keep leaving left, right n center and your business is running - but reaching nowhere.

'Employees' need better pay packages, roles, perks, flexibility, recognition (and some more). It is the responsibility of the company to be proactive and address all of these and try to retain the team as much as possible.

Attrition can be addressed by investing in your employees, and that's the best kind of investment!

Is buying Email lists and Phone number lists a part of your sales strategy?

Then it definitely shouldn't be...

Some major reasons being:

- All the emails have to be opted in, else there's no use sending out email 'blasts' (the word 'blasts' sounds so spammy)
- Unsolicited emails end up blacklisting your website domain (3rd party email software will end up tainting your brand name)
- Cold calling is such a waste of time and resources (when you don't know who is or what are the wants of the end customer)

Aim for opted-in emails and phone calls (via your social media channels, website, ads, etc) and then approach.

Come to think of it, spending money on targeted ads is better than buying these (most of the times outdated) lists.

How to close a sale quickly?
How to make the decision making faster - be it selling or buying

Not too simple but, one better approach is to

Let the prospective buyer know your price (atleast a range) before hand.

Take for instance, ecommerce - the buyers know the price along with the product features and hence the sale is quicker.

Same approach can be applied to B2B sales (be it product or service). Let the prospect know what your offering is, along with a price.

Move fast, decide fast, and close fast!

I see posts and discussions all around about whether we should work from home or work from office..

The discussion is becoming so monotonous.. and folks are forgetting the one main thing that -

They should actually have the work to do - doesn't really matter if one is working from home or office..

Great results or outcomes doesn't necessarily mean lot of time spent in ex*****on..

What actually makes the difference is the -

Research, experience, and the right approach. If these aren't there, then the ex*****on doesn't matter much.

Kind of an 80-20 rule, for any business / project / task.

Its a competitive market out there. Be it a product or a service, there is stiff competition to gain customers.

Most compete at the pricing level - but the best and most effective way is to

Out do your competition in ex*****on!

- Don't reduce your price, but increase your value
- Don't undersell or oversell
- Stay away from price wars
- Focus only on quality

Some examples:
- If a customer asks for a discount, offer them an add-on rather than a price discount.
- Put in more efforts than your competitor. There is always something that they miss out on.

Competition is good, as long as it is healthy and collaborative.

Customer is not king.. not anymore..

They might know what they want, but not how or why they want.

What they want -

is a solution to their problem or need. And more often than not, they need to be made aware of the solution - which they might or might not like.

But as long as the need is met, they are happy (and they pay). And if your service is good, then they stay with you.

A customer is like a partner - its a collaborative relationship, and it has to stay that way.

If you see that growth has become stagnant, the reason

(more often than not) is that
..

your efforts have become stagnant.

For continuous growth, one has to put in continuous efforts.

It's pretty much symbiotic.

If you are a product company or a product marketer - a Waitlist program is definitely a great way to validate and promote your product.

You basically, get customers to get on board via early sign-ups, registrations, etc. And keep them active through regular updates. They are potentially your product's captive audience. Much like an opt-in email list.

And the waitlist program works as good for both B2B and B2C products. Helps in:
- Finalizing a niche
- Build a database of prospects
- Even collect feedback (upgrades/tweaks) for the product.

Have you set up a waitlist program / campaign yet?
