To achieve its vision and mission, Winning Matters Consulting will consult to key stakeholders - Government, National Sports Federations, Industry, Media and Educational Institutions - on high impact projects in focused verticals - Performance, Participation, Technology, Infrastructure and Events - built on a strong data-driven foundation from assessments/audits and research. with the tag line “Potential to Performance” brought some of the best minds together and invested time & effort to create a proof-of-concept that Indian athletes can be amongst the best in the world if given the right support at the right time. Towards this it worked closely with key stakeholders in the sporting ecosystem – Government, Industry, International Sporting events and Centres of Excellence – in India and beyond, and made crucial interventions at the micro-level by setting up support systems around some of India’s top athletes in multiple sports – like swimming, tennis, golf, cricket and badminton. This four year journey saw our athletes participate at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, cricket players make IPL teams, a tennis player make the US Open Grand Slam finals in Men’s doubles and a swimmer, who we started the company with, create history by winning a medal at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. While the athletes made quick progress the overall sporting environment, though growing, needs to be structured to enable further confidence to all stakeholders. Hence, the birth of Winning Matters Consulting to carry forward the positive momentum towards the achievement of Sporting Excellence.
