Nishlesh has been slowly and steadily working on some really epic stuff and to see the way his grad film (an animated music video with a brilliant band called BLEK) is shaping up, makes me immensely happy and proud of him!

https://www.wishberry.in/campaign/wasting-away-bleks-animated-music-video/

I'm certain this will create an impact in the country and serve as a benchmark of how things could be done. I strongly recommend a look at his Behance page to know how vast his scope of work has been so far! (https://www.behance.net/nishlesh)

PS: For you motorcycle maniacs, his work has reached the Dakar Rally too and is worn by CS Santosh!

Please do support this maverick animator. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. No one ever was. :)

A versatile designer with a skillset that can make anyone jealous. Motorcycles to animation, he's got a lot going on!

Every now and then we receive messages which remind us why we spend so much time with this website, it's always a rare honour to hear that you have inspired somebody, especially when they turn out to create some pretty sick designs!

Aniket Das from India has just completed his Degree project on a Husqvarna concept Rally bike and was kind enough to allow us to share it with you. Check it out here: http://derestricted.com/design/husqvarna-concept-rally-bike-aniket-das

These guys worked behind the scenes and were an elemental part of my thesis. I can't even imagine what the end result would be like if they hadn't been around, helping me and showing me the way (along with my guides Balaji Rangarajan, Gourab Kar & Mahaan Ghose).

I guess these guys were the best people i met & learnt from during college days at NID. Thank you so much for all your help guys. I owe it all to you.

A big thank you to Joshua John for writing about this project in his blog! It's very motivating to see that this project makes so much sense to adventure touring enthusiasts like him!

I'm honoured to be a part of such a list. :)

Delhi Bikers is about the ever growing motorcycling community in Delhi NCR and the personalities who make it special. Its about our adventures, favorite rides and the lessons we learn on the road.

So this is what it all comes down to. This is the final result of 2 years of research, sketches, builds and tests. The collaborations with CS Santosh, Anand Dharmaraj of indiMotard adventures, Bharadwaj Dayala & Vijay Parmar of Himalayan Motorsport were eye opening to say the least!

This is not a ready-to-be-made/feasible approach but a vision towards a new future that could help the sport grow. It attempts to change the way we look at aquiring these motorcycles and learn how to ride off-road. This is only to inspire OEMs to look at a fresh new way of doing things in order to help India become an off-road hotspot!

The brand chosen was based on the project's philosophy and in no way is this project affiliated to the brand Husqvarna. It is only an attempt of showcasing how the motorcycle would look and function, if Husqvarna's brand philosophy was to be followed.

A big shout out to the entire Indian motorsport community comprising of Rally.co.in, Northern Pro Riderz Club, 226 Motorsports, Aldrin Samuel, Race Concepts, Dakshin Dare Organisers & Northern Motorsport. Thank you so much guys for all your help!

This is an excerpt from my thesis for a Bachelor's Degree in Design, obtained from the National Institute of Design, India, from where i recently graduated. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

So this is how the motorcycle looks. Will explain how it functions soon. There is a 3 Phase business model that serves as a great learning curve, and monetarily benefits the consumer & the automotive industry.

It's a whole new look at how an enthusiast could live the dream of tasting the off-road adventure he craves for. More on this soon! :)

The final phase of this project is showcased at the Auto Expo - The Motor Show 2016, in National Institute of Design's stall in Hall 2.

"A motorcycle that could help off-road motorsports grow in India"
I shall explain the idea in detail here once the expo gets over. Till then, enjoy the pictures being uploaded and please do come if you can!

A big thanks to CS Santosh, Anand Dharmaraj, Vijay Parmar & Bharadwaj Dayala for being the backbone for this project. They taught me & guided me well.

My most valued critic & mentor Mahaan Ghose, without whom I wouldn't have even figured out what to do and how to do it.

George Eliot & Prayas Rokde for being the most patient buddies who helped me improve and guided me while dealing with all the panic attacks i had over the last one year!

Nishlesh, Deepesh & Somesh for being the core team for X-Spec Motorcycles and putting in hours and hours of work no matter what they were upto. Hard to find such dedicated & passionate folks.

Elvis, Anil, Cijo & Zijah for working for 24 hours (non-stop) on the model so that it arrives to the expo on time. You guys saved the day!

And these special folks who always critiqued it well so as to reach the benchmark i had set. Gaurang Nagre, Kallol Mohanty, Chezhian Natarajan, Arun Kumar, Aman Rathore, Andrew Alewine, Diane Tran, Aman Mahuvakar, Pawan Sharma, Anirudh Pratap Singh, Shaunak Sinha & Nikhil Muthukrishnan. Thanks a tonne for your time guys. Really, really appreciate it! :)

Anirban & Moushumi Das for tolerating me throughout and not letting my dream die. I'm sure i gave you, and still give you a very hard time, parenting. :D

Last but not the least, a big shout out to Arjun Narasingaraj for designing the space for me. Great job man!

And, thank you Manisha for the pics! :)

How many times in your life do you get to see someone you know create history? CS Santosh is headed for the famous Dakar Rally and we need more people to know. Its a historic moment for India!

Share & spread the word! Let people know he exists and as the Dakar website mentions-"He is living proof that India is not only about cricket."

His journey is inspirational to say the least. Spread the word people coz he still needs more investors to get there!

Another deserving Indian racing story, CS Santosh. Quite easily, India's most accomplished off road racer. Like, rate, share, Subscribe to o...

I'm looking for an off-road rolling chassis. These are my requirements. Please help me get one!

Complete full size (21-18 setup) motorcycle (post 90s era) WITHOUT the following items:
-plastics
-fuel tank
-engine (i need the chain & sprocket)
-carb
-exhaust

NO MODIFIED/INDIAN MOTORCYCLES PLEASE!

This is for modelling purposes only (like the pic below) so except the above items, i need every single part (i don't mind a few missing though).

The suspensions, paint, etc can be worn out/scratched,etc but nothing should be bent. It goes without saying that i will be painting every part. Also, it would be great if the bike's got a set of inverted forks (again non-functional).

I'm sure you get the idea. Its gonna be a non-functional model.

Eager to hear from you guys! I'm sure there is a lot of junk lying around in India! :) Thanks in advance!

I think its more important to say today that "I'm fortunate to be free thanks to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters" than saying "I'm proud to be an Indian."

Freedom is more important than nationality & patriotism. But then again, its just my opinion. Happy Independence Day. Enjoy your freedom. A lot of people died brutally to give that to you.
