"Future of India lies in its Villages" - Mahatama Gandhi

This quote from Mahatama Gandhi seems still valid as India's 68% population still lives in villages i.e. 2/3rd of our school-going children are in villages! And these children are highly unprepared for the challenges in life as they lack:
- Access to resources
- Time & Guidance from elders
- Necessary life-skills

And one of our alumni Paritosh Segal(IIT Kanpur Class '78) is doing his part by solving this problem for 60,000 village children. He runs a not-for-profit organization NavSahyog Foundation where they work with children in the age group of 5-14 years - their most impressionable age. They work closely with teachers, parents & communities. Currently, they are present in 45 villages across TN & Karnataka.

In our 11th session of the IITK Alum Cafe Series, we will listen to him about his journey from working with MNCs to starting a not-for-profit organization. What were the events that inspired him to do it? What were the challenges he faced initially in starting it and what type of challenges he faces now?
