Today, many parents choose designer cakes like photo cakes, doll cakes, superhero cakes, Spider-Man cakes, and many more. These cakes look beautiful and attractive, and children love them.

But here is the truth…

Many of these fancy cakes are made using sugar paste/fondant to create the outer design and models. It helps bakers make almost any shape or character, but as a bakery owner and someone with food industry experience, I personally do not recommend too much sugar paste for children’s cakes.

It may look attractive for celebration, but it is not the best choice for kids’ health.

What I recommend instead?

✔️ Fresh cream cakes | ✔️ Fruit-based cakes | ✔️ Soft sponge + light cream combinations

These are usually:
lighter, tastier, lower in heavy sugar load and a better option for children

If you want your cake to look beautiful, you can still do it with:
Cream designs | Cake toppers | Name writing | Simple custom decorations

A cake can be beautiful, tasty, and safer too.

As a parent, we often spend a lot of time choosing the “best-looking” cake for our children. But maybe it’s time to also choose the best cake for their health.
