In West Karbi Anglong, under Natural Resource Management (NRM), the construction of RCC Check Dams, drainage channels, and farm ponds has greatly benefited the local population. Irrigation water has successfully reached the paddy fields, leading to an increase in agricultural crop production, particularly rice. Additionally, horticulture plantations have enabled local User Groups to support their families financially, while newly constructed water tanks provide the community with clean water for drinking purposes.

Under Production System (PS), individual beneficiaries have received financial support to take up various activities—such as piggery, arecanut, and pineapple plantations—allowing them to sustain their households and fund their children's education.

Under Livelihood Activitries (LH), SHGs have similarly utilized their financial assistance to invest in piggery, horticulture plantation.

In Udalguri, under the Natural Resource Management (NRM) component, the development of farm pond has successfully retained water for agriculture in Paschim Phutkibari MWS. Additionally, the User Group is engaged in fish farming, which provides them with an income. Under Livelihood Activities (LH), the Kabita SHG has undertaken piggery farming with financial support from PMKSY 2.0 and expects to earn a good income. Furthermore, under the Production System (PS) component, Bohiti Boro purchased chickens to start a poultry farm, which has already generated a strong income.

In Tinsukia, under Natural Resource Management (NRM), the boulder protection activity at Ghurmara Chapori village in Taroni MWS successfully prevented soil erosion in the area. It has mainly benefited the people of three adjacent villages, relieving them from flooding. Additionally, the construction of field bunds and guide bunds has significantly aided the local farming community. Under the Production System (PS) component, the members of the Xojag SHG received Rs 44,000, which they invested in piggery. They purchased 7 piglets and, within a few months, earned Rs 45,000 by selling 4 pigs. They are now breeding the remaining livestock to generate more income. Under Livelihood Activities (LH), financial support was provided to the Suagmoni SHG, who started duckery and are now earning income by selling ducks and eggs.

In Sonitpur, under Natural Resource Management (NRM), the farm pond in the Panigaon MWS plays an important role in boosting local agriculture alongside fish farming, horticulture, and livestock rearing. Hitesh Nath and other members of the User Group have benefited greatly from this farm pond, and they believe such schemes will enable unemployed individuals to become self-reliant. Additionally, under Livelihood Activities (LH), banana cultivation was undertaken by Pankaj Hazarika and fellow SHG members; he shared that their plantation is thriving and they are hopeful for a good harvest soon. Furthermore, under the Production System (PS) component, Ramesh Baishya successfully started a dairy farming business after receiving financial support from PMKSY 2.0, from which he continues to benefit.

In Sivasagar, numerous User Groups have benefited under the Natural Resource Management (NRM) initiative. One such member, Loni Dutta, has successfully boosted her income through a farm pond and the surrounding horticulture plantation. Under Livelihood Activities (LH), the Latum Natun Asha Swayan Sebi SHG received Rs 25,000 in financial support to purchase ducklings; the group is optimistic about expanding their business by selling eggs and meat. Additionally, under the Production System (PS) component, Biren Kumar Das received financial support for vermicomposting. His increased income has inspired and motivated fellow villagers to adopt the practice, highlighting that organic fertilizer is not only superior to chemical alternatives but also highly cost-effective.

In Nalbari, several key initiatives have significantly boosted the local community. Under the Natural Resource Management (NRM) component, the construction of an earthen channel in the Nilpur MWS has greatly benefitted local farmers. Additionally, under Livelihood Activities (LH), the Nabajiban SHG utilized a financial support grant of Rs 25,000 to purchase five goats, successfully increasing member incomes after a few months. Furthermore, targeted support for fisheries, banana plantations, and Assam lemon cultivation under the Production System has enabled beneficiaries to become self-sufficient.

Additionally, Rs 44,000 in Production System support has boosted the income of several individuals, while the Arunjyoti SHG has seen financial gains through their weaving livelihood activities.

In Morigaon, under the Production System initiative, Bishal Borthakur has seen significant benefits. He has not only started fish farming but has also expanded into poultry, duckery, and banana plantations. His income from the fishery, combined with the sale of eggs and bananas, has become a reliable source of earnings. Bishal believes that this type of financial support will help stop the migration of youth to other states in search of work.

Similarly, under Livelihood Activities, the Kadambari SHG received financial support that enabled them to scale their goatery activities. Furthermore, under Natural Resource Management, a contour bund built in Ajarbari village has benefitted farmers immensely; it prevents floodwater from the Kolong River from entering agricultural fields, while also serving as a path for farmers to commute and transport their crops.

Dipamoni Bora, a beneficiary under the Production System of PMKSY 2.0, received financial support of Rs 44,000. With this assistance, she began rearing goats; by selling milk and livestock, she is now successfully supporting her family.

Additionally, under Natural Resource Management, farm pond constructed has benefited the members of the User Group significantly, providing essential water during the dry season and a steady yearly income through fish farming.

Furthermore, the Jyotirupa SHG received Rs 25,000 under the Livelihood Activity component. The members utilized this support to start a goat-rearing business. Through the sale of milk and goats, the members have become self-sufficient and are now able to contribute meaningfully to their household incomes.

The project was implemented in the financial year 2025–26 at an estimated cost of 22 Lakhs.

The project was implemented in the financial year 2025–26 at an estimated cost of 5.04 Lakhs.
