Vastu Tips -Part 2

11. Brahmasthan of the house should be kept vacant.
12. One should not have any beam or columns at the brahmasthan.
13. Toilet or kitchen should not be under the staircase.
14. Puja room and toilet should not have a common wall.
15. Staircases should be in the South or South-West direction of the building.
16. Staircases should climb up in a clockwise direction.
17. One should not have spiral staircases in a building.
18. Overhead water tanks should be on the south western or western side of the terrace.
19. Low height building should not be near a multi-storied building.

VASTU TIPS

1. Plots and buildings must be aligned to the natural directions.

2. The shape of the plot should be square or rectangular. The ratio of length to width should nor be more than 5:1.

3. Exception to the above shape is we can have a Gaumukhi(Narrow from front and wide from back) plot for House and Shermukhi(Wide from front and narrow at the back) plot for commercial use.
4. Open space should be left in the North and East portion of plot and the building should be should be in the South and West.

5. While constructing a new house/building old material should not be used.

6. The main entrance is preferred in the North or East portion of the house.

7. Big trees are recommended in the South and West and small plants in the North and East.
8. The slope of the building should be towards North-East.
9. Underground tank, Bore well or Tube well should be in the North East direction.
10. The West and South portion of the house should be highest and should have least sunlight entering directly in the house from this direction.
