During Visit 3 of the Gravita Improvement Trajectory, in partnership with Gravita India Limited and NEWKINDS, ASK Training & Learning (ASK T&L) facilitated a series of Capacity-Building initiatives to strengthen the Internal Committee (IC) and build the capacity of the Gravita Core Working Group (GCWG).

The visit included interactive training sessions for GCWG, restructuring the Internal Complain Committee and capacity building of ICC members, using participatory activities to strengthen understanding the need & relevance of ICC, its roles & responsibilities, and effective functioning of the Internal Complain Committee, reinforcing worker representation and inclusive workplace governance with focus on prohibition, prevention and redressal of sexual harassment at the workplace.

ASK T&L and the Gravita Core Working Group also engaged directly with women workers to identify potential future IC members, ensuring that the committee continues to reflect diverse voices from the workforce.

By strengthening institutional capacity and encouraging active participation, we are supporting the creation of safer, more inclusive, and worker-centric workplaces where every individual has the confidence to contribute and the assurance that their voice matters particularly for the women at the Phagi plant.

Policies create direction, but they only create impact when they are understood, trusted, and put into practice.

During Visit 2 of the Gravita Improvement Trajectory ASK Training & Learning (ASK T&L) in partnership with India Limited and NEWKINDS, worked closely with the Gravita Core Working Group (GCWG) to make company policies and procedures more accessible for workers by developing visual abstracts for training.

With handholding support from ASK Training & Learning (ASK T&L), the GCWG conducted demo training sessions using these visual learning materials, while our team also facilitated demo sessions with a sample group of workers. This approach helped simplify complex policies, making them easier to understand and more meaningful in practice.

By transforming policies into engaging learning tools, we are supporting workplaces where communication is inclusive, learning is practical, and workers are empowered with the knowledge they need.

Meaningful change doesn’t happen overnight, it begins with conversations, shared learning, and the willingness to build better policy, procedures and systems together.

At ASK Training & Learning (ASK T&L), we recently concluded 1st visit of the Gravita Improvement Trajectory through our Business & Labour Rights domain. Over six days, representatives from ESG, HR, and Learning & Development (Core Working Group) came together to explore international labour standards, human rights requirements, and the Rajasthan Labour Code Rules. The workshop created a space for meaningful dialogue on translating these principles into practical, worker-centric organizational practices.

Beyond the learning sessions, our team worked closely with the Gravita Core Working Group (GCWG) to support the development of Human Rights Policies, an important milestone in strengthening responsible and inclusive workplace systems.

Every discussion, every policy drafted, and every shared perspective brings organizations one step closer to creating workplaces where people, purpose, and performance go hand in hand.

Creating meaningful and sustainable change requires more than implementation; it requires continuous learning, reflection, and evidence-based insights.

The Evaluation Domain of ASK Training & Learning (ASK T&L) recently conducted an end-term evaluation of the Education and Social Empowerment Project implemented by the Diocese of Amritsar with support from UnitingWorld , Australia.

The evaluation assessed the project's effectiveness, sustainability, and impact across key areas, including education, life skills and personal development, employability, healthcare, local self-governance through community-based organizations, and access to government welfare schemes.

A Mixed-methods approach combining quantitative and qualitative research tools including household surveys, in-depth interviews, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, desk reviews, and impact case studies, enabled a comprehensive understanding of both outcomes and community-level transformations.

By capturing lessons, achievements, and areas for growth, the evaluation contributes to strengthening future development initiatives and promoting evidence-based approaches that create lasting impact in communities.

At ASK Training & Learning (ASK T&L), our Research Domain recently concluded a comprehensive feasibility assessment study for the project “Enhancing Food Security and Climate Resilience among Small and Marginal Women Farmers” in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh.

Commissioned by PANI (People's Action for National Integration) and supported by ANDHERI HILFE e.V., Germany, this assessment was designed to rigorously evaluate the feasibility, relevance, and strategic alignment of the proposed interventions through a participatory, multi stakeholder approach.

The feasibility study was deeply rooted in field engagement, working closely with small and marginal women farmers, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), community leaders, & Panchayat representatives. The process also involved meaningful consultations with government functionaries and line departments, whose support and alignment strengthened the overall ecosystem for implementation.

The focus of the assessment was to examine how climate resilient agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, and women centric approaches can be effectively designed and implemented in a context shaped by water stress, climate risks, and socio-economic vulnerabilities.

What stood out was the collective readiness of stakeholders, from grassroots institutions to governance systems, coming together with a shared vision. The active role of local governance bodies and convergence with government schemes further reinforced the feasibility and scalability of the proposed interventions.

This assessment is more than a report. It is a blueprint for informed action, grounded in realities, strengthened by partnerships, and driven by the goal of building resilient, inclusive rural futures.

Because sustainable change begins with listening, learning, and co creating solutions that truly matter.
