The future of agribusiness unfolds as startups from Cohort 3.0 showcase their products, ideas, and solutions. The event was graced by the presence of SPD, ARIAS Society along with investors from NAB Ventures, Caspian , 3 to 1 Capital, and NEDFi. This structured gathering is designed to amplify the impact of entrepreneurs as change agents and value creators.

hosted its Cohort 3.0 ‘Virtual Demo Day’ for select startups. Startups connected with VCs on their business models, product-market fit, and team, garnering comments and feedback from the investors. A huge shout out to investor houses like AWE Funds, 100x.VC, 3ipartners, Fluid Ventures, and Realtime Angel Fund for their show of interest and collaboration, which are in process.

Assam Agribusiness Growth Lab ( ) recently conducted a training program for the Barak Dairy Cooperatives Society, a Cohort 3.0 startup. Led by AAGL's Business Consultant, Pawan Vaishnav, the session focused on boosting the capacity of the Board of Directors. The program covered topics ranging from legal and financial compliance to innovative supply chain management. The gamification technique was incorporated to teach efficient supply chain management and effective communication creatively and engagingly.

Let's meet Kasturi Sarmah and Kaustav Jyoti Goswami, the dynamic duo behind Panchoi Agrotech, a startup from Cohort 3.

Founded with passion and vision, Kasturi, a scientist turned entrepreneur, brings her expertise in agriculture to the table. Panchoi Agrotech provides agricultural technical services, including soil testing and customized machinery solutions, driving progress in farming communities.

The products are made in small batches by local women clusters using locally grown rice, oils, vegetables, and fruits. Their three product ranges include ‘Zolpaan - A Taste of Assamese Breakfast Snack’, ‘Pulpy Pure - A Sip of Indigenous Fruit Squashes’, and ‘House of Pickles - Authentic Pickle Products.’

Now, Panchoi is looking for market connections to expand its business in Assam. Inviting all potential stakeholders including strategic partners- sales & distribution; investors, and collaborators to join hands with Panchoi Agrotech in promoting local produce and sustainable farming.

Prof (Dr.) Ng. Iboyaima Singh, Dean, College of Food Technology, CAU, Imphal visited food startups of AAGL cohort 3.0 located at Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Sibsagar, Jorhat and Tezpur.

The highlight of this visit is one-on-one technical handholding sessions, troubleshooting, product standardization, food safety and compliance, and new technology adoption.
