On behalf of the Dimasa youth and community, ADYF Gen-Z formally submitted a memorandum seeking clear assurance regarding the proposed partition of Dima Hasao. The concerns, sentiments, and aspirations of the Dimasa people were placed before the concerned authority with a sincere request that no decision affecting the future of our homeland be taken without proper consultation, involvement, and consent of the indigenous people and all legitimate stakeholders.
We acknowledge the importance of dialogue, transparency, and mutual understanding in matters that carry deep historical, cultural, and emotional significance for our community. The future of Dima Hasao must be shaped through consultation and consensus, respecting the rights, identity, and aspirations of its people.
This memorandum is not merely a document—it is a reflection of the collective voice of a community determined to safeguard its heritage, dignity, and future generations. ADYF Gen-Z remains committed to standing united, raising awareness, and ensuring that the concerns of the Dimasa people continue to be heard and respected.
