Elevators are a major energy and cost centre in any modern building. Accordingly, the smart builders are bringing in elevator consultants early in the design phases – whether for new construction or for the revitalization of an existing building – to make sure that the project has the expertise of a vertical transportation expert.
ETS Elevator Consultants is a leading elevator consulting firm helping builders oversee and optimize their elevator and vertical transportation assets for greater efficiency and increase bottom line.
Vertical transportation solutions are one of the most expensive portions of a multi-story building. Many builders too often realize they should have engaged a consultant only after they have over paid, the contractor under delivered, or the result does not meet expectations. The vertical transportation industry is rapidly changing and ever evolving. Only a vertical transportation and elevator consultant can combat the conflicting information you will be presented with facts and codes. ETS Elevator Consultants balance the proven history of elevator components with cutting edge innovation and technology. We ensure a state-of-the-art product, quality project ex*****on, public safety, reduce costs and liability for your clients

Our Deliverables
ETS Elevator Consultants’ Design and New Construction Process begins with a detailed needs analysis which will help to decide what equipment will be most appropriate for the building – according to the requests of the Builder, Architect and/or owner. This analysis includes a comprehensive feasibility study and traffic analysis. It also includes an evaluation of the proposed equipment and building conditions. The creation of mechanical, structural, and electrical loads is taken into consideration and the best equipment to suit the building is specified. A solid and clear bidding process works together with the required bid documentation in order to deliver the initial stage to selecting an Elevator contractor. A comprehensive bid breakdown is compiled, complete with recommendations and additional analytic information to help determine the best bid. The project is then overseen and managed from start to finish so that the elevator work is completed in a turn-key fashion.
Value Addition of ETS for Builders
A well-designed Vertical Transportation System is critical for the smooth operation of your building. Poor elevators, escalators or moving walkways design will result in wasted investment, system inefficiencies, and thus long waiting times that influence the reputation, and ultimately the value of your building. On the other hand, an over-designed Vertical Transportation system will lead to increased investment costs, loss of Gross Floor Area and higher maintenance costs to tenants. || For a fraction of the costs of the elevators, escalators and moving walkways themselves, ETS can prepare an optimal Vertical Transportation strategy and tactical plan – balancing waiting times, core space needs, and investment and maintenance costs. All Our designs consider the building’s current and future population density, and ensure the contractor will install the appropriate overall equipment, providing overall quality and resulting in reliable, trouble-free operations during the equipment lifetime.
Successful Elevator and Escalator modernizations do not occur by chance, they need to be planned for success
The life cycle of Elevators, Escalators and Moving walkways can vary considerably and is dependent on intensity of usage, quality of the initial elevator design, installation and the quality of the preventive maintenance. External factors such as ambient conditions, obsolete spare parts, fire and water damage, vandalism, end-user behaviour or changes to building occupancy and usage also impact the equipment lifetime.
Based on these factors, 12-15 years is the typical timeframe after which Elevator, Escalator and Moving walks modernization should be considered. Involvement of an independent elevator consultant like us brings significant benefits and pay-back to the building owner in form of lower investment and maintenance costs, thorough and clear specifications, open tendering processes, right design, and selection of technology. ETS’s modernization strategies and plans are key opportunities to upgrade your building Elevator and Escalator’s code compliance, safety, reliability, energy efficiency and overall performance.
We at ETS Elevator consultants ensure all our Elevator and Escalator Modernisation projects are well planned and carried out there by customers can actually experience this as a smooth process, but for this to occur, we must plan the work and work the plan

An Elevator or Escalator Equipment Maintenance audit is a full review of the Elevator or Escalator equipment, typically followed by a detailed report. The purpose of an Elevator or Escalator Maintenance audit is to assess the condition of the Elevator or Escalator equipment and to provide an evaluation of the Quality of current Elevator or Escalator maintenance.
An ETS Consultant during the Elevator or Escalator maintenance audit examines the components of the Elevator or Escalator system that cannot be accessed by non-elevator trained personnel. The ETS Equipment audit will review the Elevator or Escalator components, quality of the maintenance and the overall reliability of the Elevator or Escalator system including the Elevator machine room, Elevator hoist-way, Elevator car top and Elevator pit.
This is not the same as an Elevator or Escalator Statutory inspection. An Elevator or Escalator Statutory inspection reviews only items as related to code violations. An Elevator or Escalator can shut down every other day and still be 100% code compliant.
The ETS Equipment audit gives Building managers and Building owners a look at the short term and long-term condition of their buildings Elevator or Escalator systems and gives decision makers impartial pertinent information on the actual conditions of their Elevator and Escalator systems in order to make correct capital decisions. Also, if the maintenance company is not providing quality Elevator or Escalator maintenance, that will be addressed in the ETS Elevator Consultants audit report.
By performing scheduled site audit reviews on an annual or custom basis, the ETS Elevator consultant can ensure deficiencies are being corrected timely and proper levels of Elevator or Escalator maintenance services are being provided.
