How to protect your Hard disk from failing??
* Hard disk fails because of the temperature,vibrations,poor cooling inside the PC Cabin,Faulty power supply,faulty UPS.
*ensure the hard disk is mounted inside the PC cabin with all 4 screws.
*always keep the CPU on a solid surface like wooden table etc.., this will absorbs transmission of shocks while you type the keyboard
*if possible add more cooling fans to your CPU.
*always use good branded Power supply(Ex: Cooler master,Antec etc..,)
*always log in as a user.this will help in preventing accidental formats to the harddisk while using the PC.
*Use Best security tools to control HDD console managers with passwords
*avoid connecting unknown external drives to your PC. some times virus transmits via them and causes the data loss.
*Always update your Internet security utilities before connecting to Internet
* always take regular backups of your data without fail. if possible configure RAID.
*install utilities like SMART tools(provided by segate) to monitior the hard disk condition.
