The question to oneself today must be "What does the Indian flag really mean to today's young India?"
Is it a symbol to be displayed on Independence Day and Republic Day—or does it represent a history that we should understand and respect?
We often hear the word “nationalist.” But can patriotism be complete without knowing the freedom struggle, the sacrifices made, the movements that shaped it, and the many people whose contributions brought us independenc e?
Waving the flag is easy. Understanding what it represents is a great responsibility.
This Independence Day, perhaps the best tribute we can give India is not just to raise the flag—but to learn the history behind it, question what we hear, and pass that understanding to the next generation.
