Traditionally you won’t find Lilac in Bandhani dupattas however from my personal experience with customers, I realised how much everyone ADORES the colour 💜 So I ensured to go out of my way, sit with our group of artisans, and have this elegant colour EXCLUSIVELY handcrafted for our customers! ⠀

One of the things that always made me gush🥹💚 was the art of Bandhani. I remember sitting with artisans and just admiring at how precise and beautiful the entire process of handcrafting Bandhani is. Their hands moved with flair to create a rainbow of colours here on earth 🌈 How can one not fall in love? 🥹⠀

There are THREE reasons why Teej is celebrated in India👇🏽

To welcome the hopeful monsoon season, celebrate women and pray for a long, healthy life for our partners 🙏🏾❤️

It is a day filled with exciting moments, swinging on jhoola with friends, fasting, applying Mehendi, yummy food, a short pooja and of course my favourite - wearing a colourful leheriya saree or dupatta 😍 It amazes me how every Indian festival has a reason behind it. Hopefully, through Ethnoroots, I will take our cultural and traditional legacy forward 🌷🇮🇳
