NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS

That was customary for each student to take an oath to discontinue any ill habits or follow new scruples as asked by the parents or teachers at the beginning of a new year..Most of them promises a lot bu fulfillments are yet to be seen.

It was just before the beginning of a high school year. A cool cigarette was burning in my fingers as I was treading across a meandering path behind the school.
An elderly woman was found waiting at a gate on my way towards my destination.She stopped and asked why are your fingers burning and what your age is and all questions went on.

Since I was staying alone on the first floor of our Haveli home, mother hardly climbed the stairs for any inspection.Once our maid pointed out a dozen cigarette packets to my mother and she warned me .
When I went to do Computer programming Diploma at Bombay,I was free and became a casual smoker.
Then several job changed and on each job change brands were also changed,Finally,started 555 state express , that was the last Brand ci******es that became a prestige brand and I had hardly any one smoking that brand even in our Wellingdon Gymn club also.

When I went to Nairobi in Kenya East africa,the brand became an issue as duplicates started coming from South Africa.Again it was difficult to smoke at home as doors were always to be closed due to chill climate and cigarette smell remained at home.Home etiquette demanded discipline in the interest of all at home
That was on 31st December 1995 ,we had a grand new year get together party with all my friends at home.The last packet remained on the table for many days unattended. My wife surprisingly found that I am no more fascinated,It was a self resolution to end many decades burning experience unpublished and followed the resolutions single handed without any flutteror popups.

SAYANORA!

Adiue. Our most loving Amma has departed for her eternal abode on last Saturday at 5pm.Funeral will be held on this Saturday at 1pm at Kaviyoor Sleeba church Kaviyur at Vallamkulam. She is survived by her 7 children who are all settled in Usa and India.We deep mourn and convey our deep condolences on this occassion.

Guruji's Birthday
All along way from Aluva via Edathua towards vallamkulam , I have witnessed a crowded journey. Women in Typical kasav saree & Men in in Yellow color shirt and Kasav mundu lined up all the streets and highways decorated in yellow color & in procession on the birth anniversary of late Sree Narayana Guru. Champion of Humanity who said , " one can follow any relegion but welfare of human being is supreme" The well planned procession was organised in great descipline and not affected the traffic.Kudos to organisers!
