Leave someone feeling disrespected, unappreciated, assaulted by rudeness or indifference and you'll find the experience will quickly escalate in their minds as they find themselves irritated by other small annoyances that otherwise may have been overlooked but now as they brood become exaggerated. Before you know they will have taken their business elsewhere.
