On 4th October, the annual Blood Donation Camp was held on the 72nd birth anniversary of Late Adv. Francis D’Souza, as a tribute to a man who believed in giving back and being there for people.

For those who knew him, the camp was a meaningful way to remember Babush, keeping his spirit of service alive through an act that can make a real difference to someone’s life.

A morning in Mapusa, the rush of the market, a bus pulling in, a bell ringing somewhere in the distance. All of them become part of everyday life without us even realising it.

And maybe that's why hearing them again after being away can feel different. They bring back places, people and little moments that you thought you would have forgotten.

For Mhapshekars, these aren’t just landmarks. They’re places we’ve passed every day, met friends, gone to college, shopped with family and watched Mapusa grow around us. Some things have changed, some have stayed, but that feeling of knowing a place because it’s been part of your life for years still remains.

Mapusa then. Mapusa now. And there’s still so much of our town’s story to look back at.
