Stronger Mapusa, with the enthusiastic support of Yuva de Mapusa, organised a thrilling community trek to the magnificent Sada Waterfalls and what an experience it turned out to be!

We kicked off early in the morning, with the Deputy speaker and MLA of Mapusa Constituency Shri Joshua De Souza joining us to flag off the group and set the spirit high. What followed was a day full of adventure, laughter, muddy trails, and countless memories. After a long, exciting walk through nature’s best, the breathtaking view of the Sada Waterfalls made it all worth it.

It was more than just a trek, it was a celebration of local togetherness, shared goals, and stepping out of the ordinary together.

We were delighted to host students and teachers from 11 schools in Mapusa, for a special screening of Sitaare Zameen Par at PVR Inox Panjim.

Schools attended the screening were, St. Britto’s High School, St. Mary’s High School, Shree Ganesh Vidya Mandir, Janata High School, Dattaram Mantravadi Memorial Pre Primary, Primary and High School, St Anthony’s High School, Dnyanprasaarak Vidyalaya, Government Primary School, G. S Amonkar Vidya Mandir, St. Francis Xavier High School, and Aastha’s Anand Niketan school.

The event highlighted the importance of inclusive education and diverse learning needs. The screening offered a valuable perspective on how each child learns differently and deserves support tailored to their strengths.

Some moments don’t need words, just smiles, laughter, and a little magic on screen.

Stronger Mapusa, an initiative by Shri Joshua De Souza, organised a heartwarming movie screening of 'Sitaare Zameen Par' for 278 students and teachers from 11 schools, including the special school Aastha’s Anand Niketan, at PVR Inox, Panjim, Goa.

The film’s powerful message celebrating neurodiversity, empathy, and inner strength touched hearts and opened young minds. What made the screening even more delightful was the joy reflected on every child’s face, the moments of wide-eyed wonder, shared giggles, and deep connection. As the credits rolled, a few children spontaneously got up and began dancing, their happiness spilling out in the purest form. It was a reminder of how impactful, healing, and unifying stories can be.

A heartfelt thank you to the schools, educators, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this day so special. We look forward to continuing this journey of compassion, connection, and creativity, one story at a time.
