I've been with my mentor, Rajiv Mehta Sir, for many years now — he's the one who trained me from the start.
Rajiv Sir has been in this business for 20+ years. Before that, he ran a garment jeans manufacturing business for 16+ years, and he was doing well by any standard. He didn't jump ship overnight — he started this business part-time, alongside his garment business, and built it steadily over time. It was only after years of building it on the side that he made the decision to sell his garment business and make this his full-time career.
That journey taught me as much as anything else he's shown me — that real growth doesn't always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes it means building something new quietly, alongside what you already have, until it's strong enough to stand on its own.
Beyond the business itself, Rajiv Sir taught me to never give up, to focus on the solution rather than the problem, and to stay adaptable when things change. Whenever I've had a question or hit a roadblock, he's handled it patiently — every single time.
A lot of what I pass on to the people I mentor today, I learned first from him.
