We obsess over what to eat, the calories, the portions, the perfect diet, but almost nobody stops to ask the simpler question, when do you eat, and for a lot of Indians dinner happens at 10, 11, sometimes later after a long day of work and family, which quietly works against everything else you are doing right.
Here is why the clock matters.
At night your body is slowing down and preparing for sleep, not for heavy digestion, so a big late meal is far more likely to be stored than burned for energy.
On top of that, eating heavy and late disturbs your sleep because your body stays busy digesting instead of resting, and poor sleep makes the next day’s weight loss even harder.
Then the late dinner kills your morning appetite, so you skip a proper breakfast and end up overeating later, and the whole rhythm of your day falls apart.
The fix is simple, finish dinner two to three hours before bed and keep your night meal lighter than your lunch, same food, better timing, very different result.
