Most of the times intentions and goals are words that are used interchangeably... they are two different words with very different meanings and energy. INTENTION connects with how you want to BE in the world and GOALS connect with what you want to DO. In our 33 day program we set an intention as a big picture for how we would like to be during the tasks that we have set for ourselves.

Your intention creates your reality. Would you like to experience this space? Set an intention for the rest of the day to BE (kind, loving, nurturing, open etc) and integrate it with your actions to see a beautiful space emerging.

Do you remember the last time you used the word *TRY* for something you were not willing to or not sure about doing? Do you remember also using the word *try* as a polite way of saying NO.

There is a distinct difference between “trying” and “actually doing”. I had read a story in which Tony Robbins was speaking to a woman in one of his audiences about her marriage. She told him that she had tried everything to save their marriage. So on hearing this, Tony Robbins had asked her to try to pick up a chair. The woman obliged and picked up the chair. He stated that he told her to “try to pick up the chair”. The woman was confused; she did not understand. He went on to explain that if you tried to pick up the chair you would not actually pick it up because you are making an attempt you weren’t doing. If I said pick up the chair to you, you could physically pick up the chair but if I ask you to try you will not succeed.

Really listen to the power of the word *try* and how it sabotages your efforts-it all starts in your mind. Words have power and shape your thoughts. Is it time to shift to making a commitment. 100% all in even if failure is also one of the options served on the platter.

The words or phrases you could be using instead include:
*I will…I can…Let’s get to it…*
Can you hear the difference in the power of those phrases? How much stronger is your belief in yourself? How much more will you be able to accomplish or achieve?
Be aware of the words that you use. Make a commitment to yourself and to others when you say you will do things. Give it your best!

In my readings on mindful communication a beautiful term showed up. *INTERUPTIONS FROM SILENCE*
Silence is a very powerful practice that we can use in communication.
The invitation is to use silence for opening up and not what we most likely use it for - to shutdown .
The suggested practice is to take an *INTENTIONAL PAUSE of SILENCE* in between sentences. The PAUSE can help us connect to the 4 questions above.
