While films like Article 15 open discussions about the justice system and law enforcement agencies, it brings certain ethical questions. How do films like this effect the victims, their families, the ongoing trials and other victims of similar crimes. It alludes to gross inadequacy in the public health, specially mental health facilities in this country.

Qouted in The Print.

ThePrint speaks to filmmakers, victims' families and psychologists to understand why films on real-life traumas are made and their possible impact.

A young promising Indian actress committed suicide...her friends and colleagues come out in her support saying she was not depressed. Maybe they are right. But i find myself asking.....how can you tell? How can you tell just by socially interacting if a person is depressed or not? ...I am tempted to invite answers and leave the question open but that beats the purpose of this write up.
Any mental health professional would tell you that you can not diagnose a person through social interactions. That's not the point either. The point is our general disregard for mental health. We would go to a doctor if a mosquito bites us to rule out malaria dengue etc....how ever we tolerate bad relationships, divorce breakups, loss, failure, rejection all relying on some imaginary mental immunity.
When ever anyone experiences these circumstances in life they are exposed and vulnerable to mental distress. SEEK HELP BEFORE THE DISTRESS BECOMES DEBILITATING.
PS:- Probably every production house can cut some corners and hire an on the house counselor.
