BillionE - an emobility platform , an e-Mobility as a Service (eMaaS) platform, said it has raised $10 million in a seed round of equity and asset lease funding. HNIs (high net-worth investors) and family offices participated in the funding round. The company will use the fresh funds to deploy electric tarmac buses at the Bengaluru International Airport and develop a mid-mile heavy electric trucks platform, according to a statement.
Gujarat-based BillionElectric says that it aims to provide a wide range of services, including electric vehicles, charging infrastructure in collaboration with CHARGE+ZONE, and an integrated e-Mobility platform.
The platform also plans to support commercial electric vehicles. “Over the last two years of product development and software innovation, this is our significant investment as it serves as a powerful catalyst in our mission to reshape the transportation landscape and offer cutting-edge, cost-effective, and sustainable mobility solutions to businesses and individuals alike," said Kartikey Hariyani, Co-Founder, Chief Platform Architect, BillionElectric.

Fintech startup Lendingkart has raised Rs 200 crore in long-term debt funding from financing platform EvolutionX Debt Capital. The group offers loans via its NBFC arm, Lendingkart Finance Limited, and co-lending Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform through its subsidiary Lendingkart Technologies. The latest funding will be deployed to launch new products such as credit cards for MSMEs, personal loans for self-employed individuals, and gold loans, the company said in a statement.
“We are proud to be one of the few profitable fintechs operating at scale in India. Over the years, we have built efficient and robust technology to support the underserved MSME sector,” said Harshvardhan Lunia, Founder and CEO at Lendingkart Group.

Credit card and travel rewards platform Scapia has raised $9 million in a seed round led by Matrix Partners India, with participation from Tanglin Venture Partners and Binny Bansal’s 3 State Ventures. This is the second time that Matrix, Tanglin, and 3STATE have bet on former Senior Vice President of Flipkart Anil Goteti's venture. The trio had previously invested in Goteti’s first company Protonn, which shut shop less than a year after raising funds.

The fresh capital will be utilised to expand offline stores, strengthen Koskii's online presence, invest in technology platforms, and hire talent.

Lumikai Fund, an investment fund focused on gaming and interactive media, on Thursday launched its second fund (Fund II) targeting a $50 million corpus from global investors. These funds will be utilised to support promising gaming and interactive media entrepreneurs in India, ranging from pre-seed to Series A investments. Additionally, the venture capital fund is inviting domestic rupee capital with the setup of a dedicated $10 million alternative investment fund for Indian limited partners. With this, Lumikai's overall investment in India's gaming and interactive media industry will exceed $100 million, taking into account its previous Fund I, which managed $40 million.

This marks L Catterton's venture into the pet food sector in India. The company has significant experience in building brands in the pet food space around the world. Drools hopes to leverage the US-based investment firm's expertise in the sector to strengthen its position in the Indian market. Digantara , a Bengaluru-based startup working on space situational awareness (SSA), has raised $10 million in a Series A1 funding round led by Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India) and Kalaari Capital. Japan-based VC firm Global Brain, Campus Fund, and the founders of IIFL Wealth also participated in the round. Mumbai-based fleet supplier Everest Fleet Pvt. Ltd. has closed a $20 million funding round led by ride-hailing platform Uber. With this investment, Everest plans to expand its footprint to other major Indian cities and new global territories, the company said in a statement. The investment comes in the backdrop of the US-based mobility company’s expansion into electric vehicle (EV) services. Last month, the company launched Uber Green service in India, starting with Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, where users can request an EV for their commute. In addition, it has also signed a deal with the SIDBI(Small Industries Development Bank of India) to help facilitate loans worth Rs 1,000 crore to acquire environmentally friendly vehicles like those running on clean fuels such as CNG. “The funding will accelerate our transition from being a CNG-dominated fleet to one with CNG and electric vehicles in the next five years. By 2026, we aim to have 10,000 EVs as part of our overall fleet,” said Siddharth Ladsariya, Co-founder of Everest Fleet.
