Freshly baked strawberry galette (gluten-free)!
Missing crispy, flaky dessert on a gluten-free diet? Try this recipe. It is gluten-free and easy to make.
Ingredients for dough:
100 grams of little millet flour
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
30 grams butter
3-4 tbsp ice-cold water
Combine the flour, butter, sugar, and salt. It will look like a crumble. Add ice-cold water in batches until you reach the right consistency. It should be able to form a non-smooth dough.
Cover the dough with the cling wrap and transfer to the fridge for 30 minutes.
Ingredients for the filling:
200 grams of sliced strawberries
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice and zest of lemon
Roll out the pastry into a large circle and transfer it to a dusted baking paper. Add the strawberries in the middle, and fold the edges of the galette towards the middle covering the edges of the strawberries. Sprinkle the leftover strawberry juice on the edges.
Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until you see the brown edges. You can dust with some icing sugar while serving. Enjoy :)
