The Kerala Management Association invites you to a thought-provoking evening honoring the legacy of Shri M.K.K. Nayar (1920–1987) — the visionary IAS officer and former CMD of FACT who helped commission the Bhilai Steel Plant and championed Kerala's arts and Kathakali heritage.

This year's lecture — "The Bermuda Triangle of Industry, Investment & Government" — will be delivered by Prasanth Nair IAS, Special Secretary, Government of Kerala, popularly known as "Collector Bro" for his innovative public initiatives and social-media-driven governance during his tenure as Kozhikode District Collector.

A remembrance speech will be delivered by Shri M.V. Mani, former MLA representing Kothamangalam and Angamaly and a close assosiate of MKK Nayar.

KMA recently organized a well-received session titled "Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, DPDPA Rules 2025 – A Critical Analysis," bringing together legal experts and industry voices to unpack one of India's most significant recent regulatory frameworks.

Justice P. Gopinath, Kerala High Court, was the chief guest and speaker, emphasizing that digital data protection must be approached with the seriousness and dignity it deserves, highlighting the fine line between personal privacy and public interest, the risks tied to AI-generated images and videos, and the need for businesses and citizens alike to internalize these new rules as they take shape.

Several subject matter experts who explored practical aspects of compliance and data governance for organizations navigated this evolving landscape.

KMA was privileged to have the Honourable High Court Justice P. Gopinath accept our invitation to inaugurate the workshop on the DPDP Act and Rules 2025. It was truly special to welcome and receive him at the Kerala Management Association.

This workshop was organised in partnership with Anvil and Anwil, bringing together valuable expertise to make the session even more impactful.

Justice Gopinath delivered an excellent inaugural address, setting the stage for what turned out to be a lively, interactive half-day workshop, packed with registered delegates from across the state, all eager to deepen their understanding of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and rules 2025.

The energy in the room, the depth of discussion, and the quality of insights shared made this a session to remember. If you missed it, you truly missed out. This is exactly the kind of practical, expert-led conversation that's shaping how organisations across Kerala are preparing for the DPDP era.

We were delighted to host Ms. Grace Reji, State Head, National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), Dept. of MSME, Govt. of India, for an insightful talk on "Capacity Building of MSMEs". The response from  MSME community was outstanding.

Speaking to a highly engaged audience of entrepreneurs and business leaders, Ms. Reji emphasized that MSME units must continuously enhance productivity and operational efficiency to stay competitive. She highlighted the need for entrepreneurs to build innovative capabilities, adapt products and processes to evolving market demands, and develop unique, customer-focused offerings to survive intense competition.

The session was presided over by KMA President Mr. Algiers Khalid, and welcome address by Chairman of MSME Forum  Mr. K.V. Jose and vote of thanks by Ms. Lekha Balachandran.

Great turnout, great questions, and great takeaways. This is what the KMA MSME Forum is all about: bringing policymakers and practitioners together to help our MSMEs thrive.
