Hiring: Test Delivery Head – Japan
We are looking for an experienced Test Delivery Head with 10+ years of IT experience to lead and manage the testing organization. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end test delivery, drive quality strategy, and mentor a high-performing testing team across multiple projects and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end test delivery for multiple projects ensuring quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
• Manage and mentor testing teams including Test Leads, QA Engineers, and Automation Testers.
• Define and implement *test strategy, test plans, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee test estimation, planning, and resource allocation* across projects.
• Drive test automation strategy, tool selection, and improve automation coverage.
• Monitor test progress, defect metrics, and quality KPIs with regular reporting to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with delivery managers, developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure requirement traceability and risk coverage.
• Implement and improve testing processes, best practices, and standards including Shift-Left testing and CI/CD integration.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, escalations, and communication.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and audit requirements related to releases and testing.
Required Experience and Skills
• 10+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA.
• *3–5 years of experience in a Test Leadership or Test Delivery Management role.
• Strong experience with enterprise applications including Web, Mobile, APIs, ERP, or Cloud solutions.
• Experience managing medium to large testing teams (onsite/offshore).
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and risk-based testing.
• Experience with test management toolssuch as JIRA, Xray, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar.
• Hands-on exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, UFT, and API testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, and DevOps environments.
• Strong analytical, leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
• Domain experience in Insurance (Life, General, or Health) is a strong plus.
• Exposure to BFSI domains including Banking and Financial Services.
• Experience in performance testing, security testing, or other non-functional testing areas.
• Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced/Expert, PMP, Prince2, Agile, or Scrum Master.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s Degree preferred.
