We have the industry seniors for our next show, sharing their insightful views for the hospitality fraternity to cope with the current times.
This show, with a collective over 300 years of experience behind them, will be anchored and moderated by Dilip Puri, Founder & CEO, Indian School of Hospitality. An industry veteran with over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Dilip has served as the Managing Director of Starwood Hotels & Resorts South Asia. He has also worked with the Oberoi group of hotels, Taj and IHG. Today, Puri is Founder & CEO of Indian School of Hospitality, a successful higher education institution focused on reshaping hospitality and culinary arts education.
The former President of Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, Rajiv Kaul is a very senior industry leader among the other panellists. Kaul today is Advisor to the Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts.
Industry veteran, Anil Bhandari, with over five decades behind him, is the former Chairman of ITDC. One of the most experienced hotelier, Bhandari serves as the Chairman of AB Smart Concepts.
Based out of Sydney, Shantha de Silva, the Former Head of South West Asia, IHG is our other industry senior at the session. De Silva, the CEO of Plus One, is a successful Leadership Mentor & Executive Coach out of Australia.
Former Managing Director of Fortune Hotels Suresh Kumar, is yet another very senior industry leader on the show. With over four decades of loaded industry experience behind him, Suresh is today the Founder of KUE Management Services, a Hospitality Brand & Advisory Firm and Founder & Mentor, ROSAKUE Hospitality, a boutique hospitality chain. Kumar steered the growth of Fortune Hotels brand with an additional charge of WelcomHeritage Hotels till his superannuation.
Among the speakers is another hotel Industry stalwart, again with over four decades of experience, Veer Vijay Singh. Veer launched the Vivanta by Taj Brand and served the Taj Group as their Chief Operating Officer. Post his retirement from the Taj Group, he felt the need and desire to continue his passion towards hoteliering and formed his own Hotel Operating and Management Company - Trance International Hotels and Resorts.
A highly accomplished seasoned hotelier, Farhat Jamal is yet another industry senior who shall speak on the panel. Farhat, was the Senior Vice President Operations at IHCL - Taj Group and currently serves as the Group Advisor-Hospitality, at the Hiranandani Group. Farhat has also served as President and Chief Operating Officer for The Lalit Hotels, Palaces & Resorts, and as Area Manager for Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, overseeing their India, Sri Lanka and Maldives operations.
Rahul Pandit, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hamstede Living is also amongst the experienced hoteliers on our speaker’s panel. Rahul has worked across deluxe, upscale, midscale and budget lodging and had the privilege of co-founding and leading as the President and ED of Lemon Tree Hotels. He has also worked as MD & CEO of Tata Group's Ginger Hotels.
