Reflecting on an inspiring evening honoring Shri Anupam Singh Gehlot IPS.

His tenure as Police Commissioner of Surat stood out for a practical, human-first approach to policing - whether it was modernizing traffic management and signaling, maintaining law & order, or always listening patiently to the grievances of every common citizen with respect and empathy.

As he takes on his role as Police Commissioner of Ahmedabad City, we wish him continued success, with faith that his leadership will carry him to even greater heights, including leading as DGP in the future.

A spectacular wave of devotion took over the streets of Surat during the grand Jagannath Rath Yatra! It was a truly blessed moment as the holy chariot passed right by our Goldi House.

Witnessing thousands of people - from our energetic youth to elders and little children - come together in complete harmony filled my heart with immense joy. What truly moved me was seeing the younger generation completely immerse themselves in the spiritual chants, music, and dance. It is a beautiful testament to the timeless strength and vibrancy of our culture.

May Lord Jagannath bless everyone with happiness, health, and peace.

The biggest lesson of my life came to me at the age of 16 from my elder uncle, Shri Govindbhai Dholakia, and my father, Shri Arjanbhai Dholakia. They gave me a sealed letter with clear instructions that on the factory floor I should be treated just like any other employee. That letter taught me discipline, hard work, humility, and the true values of life.

My journey started in the diamond industry. Then a recession pushed me towards the solar energy sector. And before I even got the chance to start my own manufacturing, I had to face rejection three times. Today, that very decision has grown to 15.200 MW of manufacturing capacity and a valuation of ₹12,000 crore.

I shared my life story so that the young sons and daughters of our country can become even bigger entrepreneurs than me.

There’s something deeply humbling about sitting across from people who’ve built what they’ve built through sheer hard work. Hosted Savji Dholakia Ji and his brothers Himmat Dholakia Ji and Tulsi Dholakia Ji at Goldi House, and I found myself reflecting on just how far that journey has come not overnight, not easy, but earned, year after year.

We spoke about sustainability, about CSR, about the responsibility that comes with success. And somewhere in that conversation, I kept coming back to my own beginning in the diamond industry, where I learned that quality is not negotiable. That single lesson has stayed with me through every stage of my journey, into solar, where it now shapes how we think about quality, speed, and ethical practices in everything we build.

Some lessons don’t stay behind. They just find a new industry to live in.

30 passports. One vow: never stay more than a day in any city.
Today that vow brought Sant Anant Das ji - known to the world as Flying Baba - to Goldi House. He travels light, one bag, and somewhere in it are always chocolates he picks up along the way to hand out to everyone he meets.
We spoke for a while, shared a few laughs. Then, as quickly as he arrived, he was on his way - to the next city, the next day.
What stayed with me wasn't the passports or the miles. It was how little he needed to be happy - a bag, some chocolates to give away, and no address at all. We spend our lives building, expanding, holding on to places and things. He's built a life on letting go of all of it, one city at a time. Some lessons don't need a scripture. You just have to meet the right person.
