We’re seeking an experienced PSD Team Members/ PPO to join a private security company
supporting oil & gas sector operations in Basra.
Key responsibilities
• Provide close protection for principals
• Conduct advance site surveys and route planning to identify vulnerabilities
• Maintain protective formations and ensure secure movement of principal
• Perform threat assessments and adjust security posture accordingly
• Execute emergency evacuation procedures when required
• Operate vehicles using defensive and evasive driving techniques
• Maintain secure communications using radios and multiple communication systems
Required experience & skills
• Western Expatriate
• Fluent in English. Able to read and write in English
• Prior military/police experience
• Proven security experience overseas and in hostile environments
• Previous experience as a PSD T eam Member while conducting PSD operations in Iraq.
• Have received recognised formal training from a substantiated external training provider
in Close Protection, e.g. Security Industry Authority (SIA) certified Close Protection
Frontline Operative.
• Have received medical training. from a substantiated external training provider and
medically qualified to a minimum First Person on Scene (FPoS) standard or equivalent.
• Lead and manage team training as required,
• Have a minimum of two years of experience in Iraq in a similar private security role
• Must have excellent report-writing ability
• Must have excellent presentation skills
• Must be computer literate and must have office knowledge
• Proficient in the use of communication systems, mapping, and navigation devices

Technicians (EMT – Paramedic) or equivalent, and possess International Trauma Life
Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certifications and experience of
specialised emergency care.
• Medical competencies must be in line with those listed on levels F or G of the Royal
College of Surgeons Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Skills framework
• Must hold a current rope rescue qualification with the Industrial Rope Access Trade
Association (IRATA) to a minimum of level 3, or equivalent
• Must be registered with the UK SIA, South African Private Security Authority (PSIRA)
or equivalent.

• Have a minimum of two years of experience in Iraq in a similar private security role
