➡We designed the Flycutter Armored Squared Arms specifically to enlarge existing pilot holes in clayey, plastic, mixed and even consolidated soils.
Its structure consists of a threaded central shaft made of quenched and tempered special 42Cd4 steel, square-section radial arms to increase rigidity and resistance, and a cutting crown reinforced with Hardox 400 plates in the most stressed areas.

But how does it manage drilling mud?

The radial arms act as internal channels, while the nozzles are positioned in several strategic points: at the front, on the sides and at the rear.
This promotes hydraulic cutting of the soil, helps keep the reamer clean and facilitates the evacuation of excavated material.

What really changes when a swivel is equipped not with one, but with two thrust bearings?

👉It changes its ability to work in both load directions: pull and push.

Three fundamental elements are installed on the central rotating shaft:
➡ a main thrust bearing, sized to support the prevailing axial tensile load during pull back;
➡ a central radial bearing, designed to support any non-axial loads, meaning loads perpendicular to the axis of rotation;
➡ an additional opposed thrust bearing, designed to also support the axial compression load generated during push back.

The additional thrust bearing also helps compensate part of the load acting on the main bearing, increasing the overall efficiency of the system and making it more rigid.
