🔴 In Italy, standard time (ora solare) officially returns during the night between Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25. The change will take place precisely at 3:00 a.m., at which point clocks should be set back one hour to 2:00 a.m.

From Sunday onwards, daylight will begin earlier in the morning, which also means that darkness will arrive sooner in the afternoon.

All network-connected digital devices—such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and smartwatches—will update their time automatically.
Manual adjustment will only be necessary for analog clocks, wall clocks, and the onboard systems of vehicles that are not connected to the internet.

Standard time will remain in effect for the next five months. The subsequent return to daylight saving time (ora legale) is already scheduled for the night of Sunday, March 28, 2027.

THE TRAGEDY OF FONTE VETICA: AN ETERNAL REMEMBRANCE ❄️🏔️🖤

On October 13, 1919, a sudden snowstorm at Fonte Vetica claimed the lives of the shepherd Pupo Nunzio from Roio, his two young children, his dogs, and his entire flock. It was a colossal tragedy that drove his wife to madness and, ultimately, to death from grief. The sculptor Vicentino Michetti immortalized this painful memory in marble to honor those who lost their lives on these mountains. It is a poignant tale that preserves the memory—and the rugged spirit—of the Abruzzo of yesteryear. ❤️
