🧺 Practical Basketry and Weaving Course – Campania, May 9 and 10, 2026 🌿

Two days dedicated to creativity, manual skills, and the rediscovery of one of humanity's most ancient skills! 🌱✨

The Practical Basketry and Weaving Course took participants on a fascinating journey into the world of traditional craftsmanship, where branches, plant fibers, and natural materials are transformed, weave after weave, into unique artifacts steeped in history. 🧺🍃

Since ancient times, humans have learned to use what nature has to offer to create resistant, functional, and durable containers. During the course, we rediscovered these traditional techniques, learning to recognize the most suitable materials, the plants that can be used, and the correct methods for harvesting and preserving them. 🌳🌾

🔨 Through theoretical lessons and lots of practice, participants created the basket base using the Catalan parallel slat technique, constructed the uprights, developed the riser, and completed the handle and braided closure.

💚 Beyond the technical aspect, the course was a true moment of well-being and connection with nature. Working slowly with natural materials allows for concentration, patience, and precision, providing a satisfaction that's hard to describe in words.

🎓 At the end of the two days, each participant returned home with their own entirely handmade basket, but above all with new skills, new friendships, and the awareness that certain ancient traditions deserve to be preserved and passed down.

Congratulations to all the participants for the commitment, passion, and enthusiasm they demonstrated throughout the weekend! 👏🌿🧺
