Designing a better shaving experience, not just a new razor.

For Rapira we developed an interchangeable-head razor concept, taking care of the industrial design, mechanical engineering and support toward production. We focused on materials, comfort and the overall feel in hand to give the razor a more secure and premium character.

The head-release mechanism was refined so that swapping the blade feels intuitive and precise, turning a simple gesture into a meaningful part of the daily routine.

Today we begin our “Design & Innovation” series by celebrating one of the most iconic objects in Italian design: the Olivetti Valentine, created in 1969.

The Valentine was more than a typewriter, it was a manifesto. In a world of heavy, office-bound machines, Sottsass introduced a portable, bright red object that felt personal, expressive, and free. Designed to be used anywhere, it broke away from the idea that writing belonged only to the workplace.

For us at PQ Design, the Valentine is a reminder that design is not just about function or efficiency. It is about creating objects that support new behaviors, embody a vision, and carry an emotional resonance that lasts well beyond their time.

A water bottle designed to grow with kids, hat’s what we imagined when we created this smart bottle. Born from our experience in toy & product design, it blends playful form and thoughtful functionality.

Integrated technology gently encourages healthy hydration habits while the shape, materials and intuitive interaction speak to both children and parents.

With this project we prove that even the simplest daily object can become smarter, safer and more meaningful.
