A fantastic start to 2026 for the International Business Chamber!

At last week's Business Luncheon, we were delighted to welcome Professor Bisan Abdulkader from the The American University of Rome, who introduced the university's Real Projects course that connects students with businesses for hands-on consulting experience.

It's been 4 years that our constant partner and sponsor FirstMed Italy participates in Real Projects, and continues to be impressed by the students' quality and professionalism.

We were also honored by the presence of Gavin Radford, First Secretary of the Embassy of Ireland in Rome, and appreciate the ongoing engagement of the diplomatic community.

Our February speaker is Professor Bisan Abdulkader, whom has taught innovation and entrepreneurship courses at the American University of Rome, LUISS, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, and MIT SandBox Explorer program. She brings experience to our members of entrepreneurship, startup growth, and applying ideas from her research to the real world collaborating with international companies. Also, our special guest will be revealed at the luncheon. See you Wednesday.

Buongiorno members! Our next IBC Business Luncheon will be February 11th, again at the Ambasciatori Palace Hotel. We will start with our prosecco hour, sponsored by FirstMed, at 11:30am. Ciao!

Yesterday was such a lovely evening! Our IBC community is growing so nicely, and it was great to see old friends and meet many new people. Thank you to everyone who joined our last meetup of the year and brought a friend!

We were also very happy to welcome the Consul of Kazakhstan in Italy and the Cultural Attaché, who enjoyed the IBC vibe a lot.

Thank you for being with us this year and making each meetup special. Thanks FirstMed Italy for supporting our gatherings.

Yesterday we listened to our speaker share his story of becoming a designer, including a plot twist for his parents. Having courage to go with his gut feelings and believing in coincidences, Rome-based designer Giuseppe Della Badia of GEDEBE Shoes stunned our members. Also, Counseller Alash Gupta, Head of Commerce, of the Embassy of India joined us as our special guest and shared what India does in Italy and what is to come.
