25,000 kg of glass. Every month. ♻️🇯🇲

That’s the average amount of glass we help divert from Jamaica’s waste stream through the businesses we work with.

And it adds up to roughly 300,000 kg a year.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes to give Jamaica’s glass a better ending — and we want more people to know about it.

From empty glass bottle → candle. 🕯️♻️

And yes, we do the whole process.

Choosing the bottle, cutting the glass, sanding the edges, preparing the wax, melting, pouring and finally… a brand-new candle.

It’s one of the hands-on experiences we offer through our glass upcycling workshops — turning something that could have been thrown away into something useful (and pretty).

Every bottle you see here has the potential for a second life. Recycling glass helps reduce landfill waste, conserve raw materials, and move Jamaica closer to a circular economy.
