"The High Place of Sacrifice is located in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Petra. It is named after its high location perched on top of Jebel Madbah Mountain. Also known as al-Madhbah in Arabic, it was mainly used for the sacrifice of animals to the Nabatean God Dushara."

Bird watching is a very popular leisure activity around the world, and many tourists are enthusiastic birders who are keen to travel abroad to view species they’ve never seen before.
More than 435 species of birds have been recorded in Jordan, of which around 70 are residents, and 21 are migrants. There are many bird-watching observatories in Jordan: Dana Biosphere Nature Reserve, RSCN Azraq Wetland Reserve, Shaumari Wildlife Reserve, Dibeen & Ajloun Forest Reserves, Mujib Biosphere Reserve, Aqaba Bird Observatory, Wadi Rum Protected Area.

"The Aqaba Marine Reserve is a natural reserve located in the Aqaba Governorate. It was established in 1997 on an area of ​​2.8 square kilometers. This reserve is considered a habitat for important marine organisms such as seaweed and coral reefs. It is characterized by the presence of distinctive fish diversity and coral diversity. In the marine park, there are many recorded water birds, especially gulls, hooks, and squaw."

"Al Ma’wa for Nature and Wildlife was established in order to provide a regional solution for rescued wildlife. There are two entities under this project, namely the New Hope Centre, located in Amman, and the Al Ma’wa Wildlife Reserve, in Jerash.

The New Hope Centre serves as the main veterinary clinic, quarantine, and rehabilitation facility for all confiscated and rescued wildlife. Animals admitted to the New Hope Centre receive immediate medical care and undergo a rehabilitation program. Where animals who cannot be sent to their country of origin or released into the wild"
