My daughter lost her first tooth today. If you look carefully you can see the hole on the bottom. I have mixed feelings. I am happy for her but....my baby is growing up!! I also have mixed feelings about whether I prefer this picture in black and white or color.

It's a rare photo starring Kristin! These are some photos my students took during the Learn to Love Your Camera class last weekend! We had my "famous" hot c***r, played with cameras, and talked about photography!! So fun!

I spent the weekend visiting my grandmother, who is 93 years old, and her sister, my great-aunt, who is 92 years old. While I was there the boxes of old family photographs came out, and we spent several hours looking through them and arranging them in albums (at my insistence). Among the photos we found pictures of my mother's 7th birthday party, my grandfather as a child, my grandmother's parents, and this gem. The moral of the story: invest in photography. Get those professional portraits done. Print the millions of snapshots you've taken of your kids and put them in an album. It's something that will last and be cherished by generations.
