Many businesses lack English or multi-lingual speaking staff, and in addition many businesses do not have websites or services available in other languages for visitors. Even for businesses that do have a website available in multiple languages, a large majority only take reservations by phone, and the language barrier as well as time zone differences make it a frustrating and exhausting experience for visitors to Japan. At My Concierge Japan, we make information about businesses available in various languages and act as a bridge between customers and businesses so that both sides benefit. We are delighted to announce that Kashiwaya Honten, Osaka's three-Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant, in collaboration with My Concierge Japan as its official concierge partner, will be hosting a special interpreted dining event this September.

The concept behind this event is simple: rather than simply enjoying a meal in a private room as one ordinarily would, we wanted to create a dining experience where guests can converse directly with the chef and restaurant staff through an interpreter — gaining a deeper understanding of the meaning behind each dish, the tableware, the presentation, and the room's arrangement, and coming to appreciate the profound connection between Japanese cuisine and the seasons.

Interpretation will be available as follows:
9/24 — English Only
9/25 — Chinese Only
