Our Vision is that societies throughout the world will learn to adopt more sustainable policies and practices. We believe that key to this shift are products, services, and strategies that are rooted in the Japanese culture and economy - Japanese Greats. Japan has a wonderful tradition of a symbiotic relationship with its natural environment and circumstance. While agrarian and fishing communities
throughout the world share a similar history, we believe that Japan's cultural tradition of "satoyama" has a special and important place in the future of humankind. Satoyama is a way of life designed to slow down the process of the water's flow from the mountains to the sea. Reservoirs, eddies, ponds, farms, forests, creeks, paddies, and small bays all are designed to make the water serve communities by providing life the rich, humid, wet, and wonderful liquid it needs to thrive. Satoyama 2.0 is the future of both urban and rural life. Like the Satoyama that made Japan’s agricultural past rich and sustainable, Satoyama 2.0 provides a vision, implementing technologies of today to reinvent sustainable communities throughout the world. JGKK aims to assist people and organizations from Japan to grow, to plant the seeds of an organic, local, and peaceful revolution that provides a sustainable future for the children of our Mother Earth.
