Looking for a calm, cozy space to read and be around fellow book lovers—without assigned reading or pressure to talk?
Join our Silent Book Club at Atelier Shinkai in Kyojima, Sumida-ku! Bring any book you like, enjoy quiet reading time, and optional chatting before and after.
🕒 Schedule: Saturday, April 25th 3pm to 5pm

30 min: Arrive, settle in, optional chatting
60 min: Silent reading time
30 min: Optional bookish conversation
🍵 Bring your own drinks and snacks
📚 All genres, formats, and languages welcome (ebooks, manga, audiobooks too!)

アトリエ・新開 春のオープンスタジオへようこそ！
I am thrilled to welcome you into my creative sanctuary this spring. At the studio, I am constantly inspired by the season, and I cannot wait to share my latest textile works and works-in-progress with you. This is the perfect opportunity to experience the tactile beauty of handcrafted art, find a unique piece for your collection, or simply soak in the creative atmosphere.
この春、私のクリエイティブな聖域であるアトリエに皆様をお迎えできることを大変嬉しく思います。スタジオでは常に季節からインスピレーションを受けており、最新のテキスタイル作品や制作途中の作品を皆様と共有するのが待ちきれません。手仕事によるアートの質感に触れ、コレクションに加えるユニークな一点物を見つけたり、ただクリエイティブな雰囲気に浸ったりする絶好の機会です。

Atelier Shinkai is my creative home as a textile artist. My intricate and vibrant works form the heart of the studio. During the open house, I will be delighted to introduce you to the world of textiles and discuss my creative process.
