The Yokota Futures Office hosted a JASDF Manufacturing Symposium at Yokota AB—bringing together JASDF teams (Air Development & Test Command and Operations Support Wing) and our 374 AW innovators to swap lessons, inspect 3D-printed parts, and push bilateral additive-manufacturing forward. This is exactly the kind of hands-on collaboration that turns ideas into capability and strengthens interoperability. ✈️

Proud moment for The Dojo Innovation Lab! 👏
Tech. Sgt. Tylar Cravens , a long-standing Dojo volunteer, just hit the spotlight for using 3D printing to reshape engine repair training at Yokota. This is exactly what our community is about: tackling real problems with practical innovation and sharing the “how” so others can repeat it.

📢 Dojo Innovation Lab – 3D Printing 101

On 12 September, Instructor Tanner Dishner guided students through the Way of the Dojo with an exciting introduction to 3D Printing 101.

This hands-on class explored the basics of 3D printing, from understanding CAD design sources to learning about essential printer parts and how they work together. Students left with the knowledge to start creating and the inspiration to see the endless possibilities 3D printing unlocks.

Recently, the Dojo Innovation Lab at Yokota Air Base partnered with Girl Scouts Overseas to open doors for young girls in STEM. Scouts explored 3D printing, CAD design, and hands-on technology that builds creativity, confidence, and community connections.

🚀 Generative AI Workshop Recap – MDG x Dojo Innovation Lab

Our 5/6s leveled up with a hands-on Generative AI class taught by Sabrina Bowser.
The focus: engineer prompting that works for YOU—especially when it comes to crafting EPB inputs that are clear, consolidated, and to the point.

AI isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a skillset. Learning how to structure prompts the right way means:
