Yiu Lam Fong, our winner of the Rising Star Award, is leading the way
in music therapy.

Since completing her MA in Music Therapy at ARU, Yiu Lam Fong went on
to found Cambridge Music Therapy Ltd, a community-focused organisation that now
supports more than 100 participants and works across eight care homes, schools, SEN
settings and youth organisations.

Her work has had a particularly strong impact within the dementia community. She has
supported more than 100 residents in care settings, delivering tailored music therapy
sessions that help reduce agitation, encourage communication and create moments of joy.

Despite her growing reputation and increasing recognition, she remains grounded in her
core values of inclusivity, compassion and integrity. She continues to explore new and
creative ways to make music therapy accessible to those who may never have engaged with
music before.

Her achievements reflect both the strength of her ARU education and her determination to
use her skills to make a tangible difference. As she continues to grow her work and reach
new communities, she is helping to transform lives through the power of music and human
connection.
