If someone is quiet about you, stop being loud about them. If they make you feel chosen in private but hidden in public, it means they're not sure about you.
Stop being so sure about them either.
When you match energy, you're not being mean. You're learning your place in people's lives so that you won't be disappointed.
No matter how deeply you feel someone, never choke the connection by going too far ahead of them.
Always meet people midway so you can notice when they have stopped approaching.
People are allowed to change their minds when they get to know you better. Sometimes the reason someone turns back is that the relationship served its purpose of getting to know each other better.
And then they decided you're not exactly what they want.
Do not complain that they wasted your time because dating is essentially an interview. You should protect your time by investing only enough time in one interview.
If there's no clarity beyond a certain period, the whole thing has failed your interview. You move on.
Neither should you say they ate your money since you handed it away yourself.
You should know what level of access belongs to dating and which one belongs to marriage. If you give the wrong thing at the wrong time, that's squarely on you.
Don't waste time being bitter with anyone.
