Little Nadia Cherono was found by the catholic sisters of Madre Ippolita Childrens Home after she was born and buried the very day she came to this world fragile and abandoned, her body was already rotting yet still clinging to life. In a noble gesture, the sisters treated and nursed her to good health.
At the year 2015, as fate wouod have it. President William Samoei Ruto, the then deputy president attended a fundraiser event at the childrens home. Among all stories that he heard that day, one of them struck his soul, the story of Nadia.
He wept hearing how this helpless infant was thrown off to die before she had life itself to start. It is at that very moment that he promised to change her life forever, to become her father.
Since that moment, the story of Nadia was rewritten. She went to a loving family. She is now called Nadia Cherono" Ruto named after the mother of President Ruto.
Not everyone is capable of taking an abandoned child to his home despite being financially able. Kindness is something very few people possess.
