At , we have always believed that meaningful systems transformation is never a solo act. It is shaped through dialogue, challenged through experience, and strengthened by the wisdom of people who have spent decades building institutions, partnerships, and possibilities across our continent and beyond.
Today, we are deeply honoured to begin introducing the Development Dynamics Advisory Council, a collective of leaders and practitioners whose insights, stewardship, and lived experience will help guide DDโs strategic direction, governance, and institutional evolution in the years ahead.
We begin this journey with Arif Neky, Regional Director, East Africa at Aga Khan University.
Arif brings more than 25 years of leadership across banking, philanthropy, development finance, ecosystem building, blended finance, and impact investing. His work has consistently shaped the architecture of collaboration across East Africa and beyond, helping bridge capital, communities, institutions, and long-term development ambitions.
From the UN SDG Partnership Platform in Kenya to the Kenya Philanthropy Forum and regional impact investing ecosystems, Arifโs leadership reflects a rare ability to convene across sectors while keeping equity, sustainability, and systems thinking firmly in view.
Over the past few months, Arif has generously shared his counsel, perspective, and strategic insight with us as DD continues its own journey of evolution and introspection. His presence brings both grounding and stretch: the kind of leadership that sharpens thinking while expanding horizons.
We are grateful to walk alongside him as we continue to navigate complexity, nurture partnerships, and advance innovation for social impact across Africa.
