Namuju Ignatius is the Executive Director & CEO of the Administrative Professionals of Kenya (APK), where he provides strategic leadership in advancing professional excellence, training, and capacity building within the administrative profession.
A seasoned public servant with a distinguished career spanning over fifteen years, Namuju has demonstrated exceptional commitment to administrative leadership and institutional development across Kenya’s public sector.
He began his public service journey in 2008 as Personal Secretary in the Ministry of Higher Education, Science & Technology, where he supported policy coordination and executive communication at the ministerial level. In 2013, he was appointed Personal Secretary in charge of the Office of the Chief of Staff under the Executive Office of the Deputy President, a role in which he provided high-level administrative and operational support at the heart of government.
Between 2018 and 2023, Namuju served as Executive Secretary in charge of Commission Administrative Affairs at the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC). His tenure at SRC was marked by exceptional organizational stewardship, staff coordination, and institutional governance enhancement. It was during this period that he decided to channel his expertise and passion into training and professional consultancy, leading to the establishment of his current leadership at APK.
In recognition of his exemplary performance and contribution to Kenya’s public service, Namuju has been conferred two presidential honours: the Head of State Commendation (HSC) in 2013 and the Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya (OGW) in 2020. He is also the proud recipient of the Personal Assistants of the Year Award – Africa (2018), a continental recognition of his excellence and professionalism. Through his work, Namuju continues to inspire a new generation of administrative professionals, fostering a culture of competence, leadership and integrity in public service.
