CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER/HEAD OF PROGRAMS

Our client is a registered NGO in Kenya and a member of a global network. It operates in the East Africa Region through a network of over 20 branches. The organization focuses on social entrepreneurship, micro-credit, job creation, and improved livelihoods of marginalized communities through a participatory approaches.
The organization seeks to recruit for the position of Chief Operations Officer/Head of Programs. The position is responsible for providing effective leadership and strategic management of program operations. It also provides oversight and effective management of strategic plans, business plans, budgets, performance metrics and staff for the department.

The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Senior Management Team.
The candidate should be a holder of a Master’s degree in Social Enterprise, Development Studies, Micro-Finance, Project Management, Business Administration/Management, Economics or any related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years progressive relevant work experience in a similar organization promoting social enterprise and financial inclusion preferably in program operations management and at least 5 years’ experience in senior management.
