As an Autoimmune Condition Survivor & Victor I am more aware to continue to take care of my body since it is the only place I have left to live.
From a medical point of view, I continue to work with my Endocrinologist & Diabetologist, Gynaecologist, Cardiologist, Physiotherapist, Nutritionist, Orthopaedic, Dentist, Opthamologist, General Physician and Psychiatrist. (Yes, it is an overwhelming & draining treatment most times)
This journey constantly reminds me that our bodies are our gardens and our wills are our own gardeners.
However in my quiet moments of reflection, the realisation sinks in that my true healing power lies in my kitchen where heritage is passed hand to hand. My herbs and spices are more than flavour. They are my medicine cabinet, my beauty kits and my "Legacy..." from men & women who carry the whispers of our heritage and seasoned life itself.
