BOOST YOUR CONFIDENCE:
#1. Start your day with your favorite music
It’s a small step that can turn your mood from I’d-do-anything-to-go-back-to-sleep cranky to ready to tackle anything.
#2. Change the words that follow “I am”
Having you been telling yourself, “I am awkward,” “I ashy,” “I am ugly,” or “I am not good enough?” Change the words after “I am” to anything you want to be, and eventually, you’ll start to believe it.
#3. Nod along
An early study suggests that the up-and-down movement may actually improve confidence in your thoughts. So whenever you need an extra boost, feel free to nod away.
#4. Dress nicely
It doesn’t necessarily mean wearing $500 designer outfits. It means wearing clothes that are clean, that you are comfortable in and that are nice-looking and presentable, including casual clothes.
#5. Crack a smile
Flashing those pretty pearly white teeth will immediately make you appear both confident and composed.
#6. Say “hi” first.
Saying hi first will help you both command your presence and get out of your shell.
#7. Think about what makes you feel attractive
For example, try a new hairstyle, buy an article of clothing that flatters you, get a manicure, etc.
#8. Accept compliments
Just stop downplaying the compliments you receive and respond with a simple “Thank you!” And take a moment to internally feel good about yourself.
