_*A NEW STEP TOWARDS STRUCTURED LIVESTOCK MARKETS*_
We have been looking at how we can move beyond simply sharing livestock information on WhatsApp and create a more structured way of connecting farmers, buyers and the wider livestock value chain.
I have come across Flockr.africa , which already has a mobile platform designed to connect players within the livestock ecosystem.

The idea I am exploring is simple:

Farmers
(Beef | Sheep | Goats | Dairy | Poultry | Aquaculture | epiculture...)

Buyers & Markets

Feed & Input Suppliers

Vets & Animal Health

Transporters

Butchers & Processors

Meat Businesses

Instead of information remaining scattered across WhatsApp, members can progressively build their own digital profiles, making it easier to identify who has what, who needs what, where they are located and when they are ready for the market.

*The bigger vision is MARKET AGGREGATION:*

6. Build reliable market data

WhatsApp will still remain our community and communication space.
I am currently exploring how *Feedlot Kenya* members can interact with the Flockr.africa platform and whether it can help us build a more organised livestock market network.

Looking at how I posed for photos 25 years ago, I can confirm that confidence has never been my problem. The only thing that has changed is that my poses now come with experience, responsibilities, and a few surprise sound effects when standing up.The pose is still the same. The haircut changed, the waistline negotiated new terms, and life added a few chapters lakini the confidence remains undefeated 😂🔥
