It’s easy to want to consider working with every and any client who is seeking your service, but does that mean it’s something you SHOULD do?

Personally, I don’t think so.

The relationship between you and your client can ultimately affect how you feel about your business in the long run - are you providing them with the help that they need? Are you being compensated fairly? Do you look forward to hearing from them and/or touching base + sharing updates?

If the answer to even one of those questions is “no”... they might not be the right client for you, and that’s okay!

Growing your business and attracting clients is important, yes, but It’s ALSO important to be intentional with where you share your energy.

As simple as it may seem… it really IS all in the details ✨

Providing value, sharing your vibe, and empowering others is JUST as important… but it doesn’t mean you should overlook these simple things.

An analogy I like to compare it to would be growth in real life compared to the digital space — your vibe attracts your tribe. When you look good, you FEEL good. Why not treat your social media page the same way?

I encourage you to spend a day analyzing your page — which is essentially YOUR space! Some minor tweaks can go a long way 🙌🏾

Let’s talk boundaries for a second:

This is one of the main things that can be easily overstepped in the beginning of your journey as a VA. Whether it’s changing up your schedule to make the client happy, or doing tasks that you know deep down you really don’t want to do, we might tend to do this for the sake of the client 🙇🏾‍♀️

And there’s nothing wrong with wanting to make our clients happy!

I encourage you to be aware, and even make note of your boundaries for yourself in your business - compromise is OK, but don’t forget to say NO when you need to…

Because the more we allow our boundaries to be overstepped, the more it may start feeling like another “job” you stop looking forward to, and can even cause burnout faster.

At the end of the day, a happy VA = quality work = a happier client! ✨
