CHANGE OF USER
A change of user is a development application meant to facilitate a change in the use of land, from one user to another.PURPOSE:To control development and land use
PROCESS
1.A developer through a physical planner makes a change of use application by filling a PPA 1 form
2.A notice is placed in two newspapers with nationwide circulation,inviting the public to give their views within 14 days from the date of the notice
3.A physical planner then prepares a planning brief which includes:
* Background information of the site
*Compatibility of the developments with other developments in the area
*Impacts of the proposed development on the physical and socio-economic environment of the area and *Recommendations for consideration to the approving authority
4.The brief is then submitted to the respective County Government Department of Physical Planning for consideration and approval
APPLICABLE FEES
They include professional fees which are subject to the project size and location and statutory fees which include change of user application fees(varies per county), advertisement fees and PPA 1 form fees.
